In 1994 I had been sitting with Sri HWL Poonja for 4ish years.  I kept hearing this stern commanding voice in my head say: "WRITE THE BOOK!!!!"  And for 6 months i said no. Then on Jan 1, 1995. I began transcribing hundreds of Satsangs, and many of these were 2-3 hours.  As I transcribed I also started to organize everything by topic and crunching it down.  So the first 1/3rd of a sentence might be from 1990, and the next 3rd from 1994 and the last third from 1992.  Basically I took time out of the satsangs.  I worked hours every day: Morning I would sit in Satsang and record it. In the afternoon I transcribed it.  Then in the evening i took time out of it and did next level organizing!  I also smoothed out his voice a bit and such things.  The book naturally organized itself.  Sometimes the Shakti was soooo strong I had to stop working because the tears streaming through my eyes precluded sight.  At one point the book was 1600 pages long!! The Final organizing and editing was done At Yudhishtara's house in Huntington Beach!   A month later Vidya and I and Yudhishtara were in Lucknow giving the book to the Lion of Lucknow!   

The who non-dual expressions are common today but then in the 1990s there was only 2 people who were primarily responsible for getting Advaita to the world: 

~ Sri H.W.L. Poonja  in Lucknow whose book "THE TRUTH IS" was written by Prashanti.

~ Nisargadatta Maharaj in Mumbai whose book "I AM THAT" was written by Maurice Freedman.

To this day this duo of books is the bedside reading for many folks on this good earth!

Many months after I gave this book to Papaji he requested that I make a smaller book, so I made the 108 page: "THIS: Poetry and Prose of Dancing Stillness"

The truth is is that THE TRUTH IS has been TRANSLATED INTO 15 LANGUAGES!
