Ω VACH: CALAMUS OIL of WISDOM

Vacha Calamus: The main herb for the throat chakra and Thyroid that frees Wisdom ‘Vak,’ which is Saraswati in the Visuddha Chakra, thus enabling the Voice of the Wise Woman while also supporting cognitive function.  

It is traditional (I have noticed quite famous yoga and ayurveda teachers doing this) to put some Calamus oil on the throat or chew a little piece of Calamus when one needs to speak clearly and with Flow to larger audience.  

"Its rhizomes are used to treat insomnia, melancholy, memory loss, hysteria, depression and mental disorders. Almost all parts of the plant have proven beneficial in the treatment of neurological, gastrointestinal, kidney, respiratory, liver, and metabolic disorders.
